- Overtime, vital network amongst local authorities in the Lake region and with relevant government and non-government agencies has been built and strengthened.
- A number of partnerships/twinning programmes for best practices between LVRLACC member cities and municipalities have been established with those of Sweden.
- Through a rigorous participatory process, LVRLACC has always developed and adopted a five year strategic plans to guide her activities (with the current one running from 2018-2023).
- Inducted all the current new elected leaders in member Local Authorities into LVRLACC programmes.
- Continued to carry out periodic tree planting, clean up exercises at the Lake shores and landing sites in collaboration with member Local Authorities.
- Periodically carried out professional study tours in counties of; South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Israel, to bench mark best practices in areas of general environment and sustainable utilization of water bodies such as Lakes, Rivers and wet lands.
- Increased membership of local Authorities to LVRLACC from 80 to 135 Member Local Authorities majority of which are urban.
- Identified and appointment LVRLACC focal persons (technical officers in areas of: environment, water, public health, community development and fisheries) for the entire member Local Authorities based in those authorities for coordination of LVRLACC activities/programmes.
- Carried out the mandatory chapter and Regional LVRLACC Annual General Assembly and Executive meetings.
- Successfully carried out election of new LVRLACC leadership at all levels that is Chapter and Regional leadership with the mandatory respective standing committees.
- Enhanced networks and partnership with likeminded Government, Non-government agencies, universities, research institutions, locally and internationally, to join efforts and built synergies for implementation of LVRLACC strategic plan
- Continued working with communities to ensure sustainable utilization of Lake Victoria resource, rivers, wetlands and general environment in the lake region.
- Enhanced harmonious coexistence of local communities for development, in the lake region
- Effectively coordinated LVRLACC activities for 20 years to keep as one unit.
