- Untimely payment of annual membership subscription by member Local Authorities
- Lack of a committed research institution to enable LVRACC quickly generate research based projects and programmes within her mandate.
- Lack of equipment such as vehicles, motorcycles, computers, water boxes, video cameras etc to enable her quickly and properly coordinate the organization activities
- Rapid urbanization with all its short comings in the lake region which causes changes in the urban face thus causing challenges of sustainability of LVRLACC activities.
